Presently situated at the corner of Wellington and Osborne streets, the École de Musique de Verdun was established over 70 years ago by Marie-Jeanne Fortier. More than 35 qualified and enthusiastic teachers are employed at the school; they ensure that students receive enriched musical training in preparation for graded examinations.
Currently, there are approximately 400 students of all ages enrolled at the school. Whether students are learning for pleasure or with a career in mind, the school aims to provide a well-rounded musical education while respecting individual learning pace.
The École de Musique de Verdun offers private and group instruction. Individual private lessons (piano, violin, cello, guitar, recorder, voice, flute, saxophone and clarinet) are complimented by courses in theory and ear-training.
